we can neither confirm nor deny.
3/06
Still working in the CD. We will be the 3rd release on the new 42 North label. It looks like fall 2006 for that. Once this is done we will be back in full force! Talk to you soon.
1/06
Well it's a new year and we will finally have a new CD. It also looks like we are going to sign with an Indie label that is launching in the spring. More news on that in the coming months. Our new CD is sounding very much like what we had envisioned the next work from chelsea in orbit would sound like. Thanks to Jamie Myerson for that (and pizza and Dunkin Donuts coffee). For those of you who have been with us from the start, we thank you for your patience. We will do everything we can to make the wait worthwhile. Who knows, maybe another CD of the Year award with a very drunk Ryan Dunn presenting is in the cards or possibly an Origivation Magazine cover again! We will see. Our next show is a Thursday at the Chestnut Room which is located inside of Brownies 38th Street. We hope to see you there!
10/05
We just got done recording drums
for the next three songs and they sound huge. Rick and Jamie set things up nicely
and got a great drum sound. Can't wait to get back in there! Dewey Beach went
well. Great band to see when we are there. We would like to welcome our
new Bass player Rob. I know it seems like we always have a new bass player
because usually we do. Anyway next up is a show Nov. 19th at the Chestnut Room
which is located in Brownies 38th Street. It is the old Chestnut Cabaret. It
will be fun and also a chance for you to hear some of our newest material.
I will keep you updated.

Hey, hope you had a great summer!
We got busy working on the next group of songs for recording and while
that was going on we were invited to play the Dewey Beach Music Conference on
September 30th! Also, we picked up a November 19th date at the new Chestnut Room
at Brownies 38th Street in Philadelphia. And to top it all off we are one of
twelve bands in the Buzzplay.com Best Unsigned Bands in the Northeast. If we
make it to the final 5 we play in NY and have a shot at playing in L.A.! Things
should move a bit faster this fall and we will see you soon.

7/05
The new stuff is coming along. The first 3 are done other than mixing. Working with Jamie is great. Although I think there is a little too much coffee and donuts going around. Dunkin donuts coffee keep us energized. We will have some cool stuff happening this fall so keep you ears open for what comes next. gregg
4/05
So we really are recording. We are working on the first three and things are going well. Jamie is fantastic to work with. We hope this will be something that was worth the wait. I guess you will be the judge of that. We wil get some more pix up soon. gregg
1/05
We are booked for the studio on February 5th. Can't wait to go at it again. Talk to you soon. gregg
12/04
Thanks for everyone coming out to the Grape. It was a lot of fun. We will start recording in January and should be back at the Grape in January. See you then.

4/04
ok, more on the recording.....
I finished up the bass lines to "love me" and "alcohol", and was able to use my bass pod. I've still go a lot to learn about it, but so far just the basics of it amaze me. I got some real good tones, and I hope they translate well on the record. We've got our computer up and running for automation, which basically means once we do a mix of a song, we can save it so the computer will move all the faders like it's haunted. anyway, now the drums and bass are done, and I'm really happy with the way they came out. I tried a few things different to try and spice up the songs, and stay tasteful at the same time. Erik from cottonmouth dn taught me something I'll keep with me" play the song stupid"
it helps keep me grounded, so I don't start acting like geddy lee. I'm really pleased with how the whole thing sounds. The drums sound really open, and gregg and juan are defiantly going for a gritty guitar sound, and I couldn't be happier. As we progress, I think we're coming together as a band. granted rick, juan and gregg have been at it a while, but I'm still finding my place. we're hoping to bring back the fans that loved the last record, but I must warn you, we're trying to expand the songs a bit. I'm not sure if we'll get another orgy award, hehehe, but we sure hope so. Guitars should be done this week on those songs, so I'll update you then...

11/03
Thanks to all of you who came out to Abilene on the 22nd. You made our first
night back a good one. I know many of you asked for new music and we did have
some new songs in the set but it's not recorded yet. That will be changing
shortly. Mark was great on bass. He was just what we needed. Feels like we've
been playing together for years. Next show is not until January but we may sneak
one or two in before that date. Great Holidays to everyone. See you soon!
10/03
Looks like we finally have a bass player. You may know Mark from his former
band CottonMouth D.N. If you are familiar with their work you know they can
bring it. He will be a great addition and will add some low end punch. Look for
dates in the next few days.
9/03
See, I told you it wouldn't be until September! So September 18th at The
Grape in Manayunk. Come on out and I will tell you our tale of woe...
7/03
OK! It looks like we are getting ready to get the new stuff out
there. We have a new line up and are rehearsing now. It may take until September
but we will be back in all our glory. New players and a new set! In other news
we were a finalist for the XM radio unsigned channel. If we win we will let you
know. See you in September! (isn't that a song?)
5/03
Sorry about the delay but it takes time to get things done right. It seems
that we have no drummer. Rick decided to join another local band so we are
looking for a replacement. As soon as we do find one we will work on our next CD
and get out and do some shows. We also have some songs being considered for an
indie film. Again. We will see what happens. Know of any drummers? Contact us at
band@chelseainorbit.com See you
later.
12/02
Not much going on at the moment. We are recording and making contacts. One
cool thing is that we are the featured band on Indie
Fan.com for December. They gave us a very nice write-up. Check it out. Also
our Shut Eye release will be in
December but won't be added to college radio until January. Talk to you then.
10/02
Here is the latest. The head of A&R of Aezra
Records will be taking our music to the President of the label in the next
week or so. Hopefully he will still have a job after such a risky undertaking.
Also, we have the date for the release of our debut with Shut
Eye Records. (Somebody likes us!) November 15th we will have the song
"Sugar" on their "Buzzlighter" compilation CD. It will be
distributed nationally to college radio and other media. We have shows on Oct.
10 @ Brownies & Oct. 19th @ Abilene. We are working on recording new songs
for an upcoming CD. I will let you know when we have samples. See you soon.
9/02
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Brownies show. It was good to shake
the rust off. Next up is a show with two great bands. We will be sharing the
stage with DownCircleBack from Philly and
Amplify from NY. The show will be at
Abilene (our second home) on September 21st and it will kick ass.
We are currently being reviewed by Aezra
Records and Shuteye Records.
Virgin has shown a hint of interest but we will see where that leads. This is
kinda like dating. In fact, since we always get rejected it's just like dating!
See you in September!
8/02
OK, somehow schedules got mixed up and we did not play on August 3rd at
Abilene. Sorry about that to those who came to see us. We stayed at the club for
a while and talked to many of you that were there. It was a meet and greet
without us playing. Also, we will not be playing in August as far as I know. We
took off to work on some new material. In other news, we have gotten some
response from our inclusion on the CMJ's compilation CD. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
We will be participating in an Original
Band Night/Contest at Brownies 23
East in Ardmore. Winners get a billboard on either Rt 95 or Rt 76 so
that would be some great exposure. We will be judged on fan attendance and
performance. Of course this is where you come in. The dates are on the gigs
page. It's all up to you! South Philly this is when we need you most! See you
there. First show is Thursday Sept 12th.
6/30
Thanks to everyone who came out to the show on the 29th. We had a great
time. Sorry about not getting shots of you for the fan page but our digital
camera crapped out. We will get you next time. Now for the July and August
happenings:
July 1st - We are on the cover of Origivation Magazine Click on us to see
more
July 22 - "Close Your Eyes" released on the CMJ's "Certain
Damage" CD. Distributed nationwide to over 4,000 radio stations, record labels
& record stores etc....
July, end of - "Sugar" will be on Origivation's Compilation CD "Philadelphia
Undercover" which will be distributed to 1,000 record stores and venues.
August 3rd - Abilene, see gigs
We are spending the rest of August recording. See you in September.
6/02 Update...South Philly
packed the house at Abilene on Sat. the 15th. I went upstairs to get a drink and
had to push my way to the stage when I came back down. We will be there again on
Sat. June 29th. We are also working on a possible South Philly appearance. I
will let you know. See you on the 29th.
6/02 Well the word is that we have won the ORGY's for Origivation Magazine. We won Band of the Year and Best Modern Rock Band. We will be on the cover of the July issue. Thanks to all of you for voting. We had a great time at the Nail for the Awards. The bands were great. We played with Spider Rico, LC9 and Circus of Destruction. Everyone hung out and had a great time. Thanks to Anthony from Origivations for putting it all together.
5/02
We won the Award for
Best CD at the Abilene Music Awards
on Monday night and it is all due to you! The award was presented to us by none
other than Ryan Dunn of MTV's Jackass and he was very drunk. We would also like
to thank Brian and Scott Bricklin who produced our CD. But it was you, the fans
and friends, who made it happen. So thank you so much. Now all we need to
do is win Band of the Year with Origivation Magazine. If we win we will be on
the cover. Voting ends on May 20th. I will keep you posted. Thanks again!
5/02
First off thanks to Origivation for our pictorial. Anthony did a great job and had some very kind words for us. Click HERE to read the quote. Thanks to YOU, the people that support us, we are one of 5 finalists for Origivation Magazines Band of the Year and Best Modern Rock Band. Please click HERE if you want to vote. Also we have been nominated for the Abilene Music Awards. To vote for those awards click HERE. We have had some fun the past couple of times out so if you haven't made it recently your missing all the action. We will be at Abilene on May 11th so come on out. This is a great club. They have great food and a fantastic staff. This is a great place to play. We also are still being shopped by our management company. We will see what happens. See you soon. Here is the gigs page LINK
4/02
The Abilene show was great. It was good to see so many of you there. Anthony from Origivation was there taking some pictures and said we will be in the pictorial section of the April issue. I just wanted to say that Origivation does things right. They are visible at the shows and are truly a part of the local music scene unlike the other so-called local magazines. I have seen them out on many occasions doing the leg work and getting their noses dirty. With that kind of commitment their continued success is assured.
Our next show is April 20th at The Nail. We all know that 4/20 is a great day so come on out. If you can't make that show we will be back at Abilene on April 26th. We will have some new songs for these shows and for those of you on our e-mail list, Mp3's of some of these will be available soon. See you later....
3/02
WE ARE THE HEADLINER AT ABILENE FOR SATURDAY MARCH 23RD SO COME ON OUT AND HAVE A DRINK WITH US. WE GO ON ABOUT 11:00pm. SEE YOU THERE!
Well, we have a new (old) bass
player. Chris Seidel is back with his thumping bass. Some of you may already
know Chris. If you have one of our CD's then you know Chris because he plays on
all of the studio stuff on the CD. He had a great first show back at Abilene
when we opened for K-Floor. They are a very cool band and couldn't be nicer
guys. Chris also plays with a few other bands so you may see him around. I'm not
sure if he ever sleeps....
See all of you at Abilene.
We are back from New York and we had a great time. The Elbow Room was packed and whatever we did it seemed to work. We had a great crowd with all of our bus trippers helping to spur on the first timers. We will have to do that again sometime soon. We are also moving along in the studio with "Mrs. Jones". Guitars, drums and bass are done and now it is onto the keys. Marty will be handling those duties shortly. We will be back at Abilene with K-Floor on Saturday March 9th. We go on at about 10:30pm. We will see you there.
2/02 Extra Stuff
Thanks to everyone who came out to Abilene on Friday night. We had a great time. (Thank you to everyone who got on the e-mail list) It was another night of going on at 10:30 but closing the place at the end of the night. We just can't seem to go home. Next show is the bus trip to the Elbow Room in New York. We had a location change for pick-up though. Seems that everyone is paranoid about having a bus in their parking lot. That's OK. Flex Gym in Edgewater Park is not paranoid so we will be leaving from there. Check the gigs page for details. There are a few seats remaining for the bus trip. If you want to go call us at 609-870-6232. Also, we just had some songs reviewed by Fox Television. Hopefully we will get a call back. If only we had a better head shot.... See you in NEW YORK!!!
1 & 2/02
Well, we are returning to the studio to do one song. It is "Mrs. Jones". Some of you may have a live version of the song on the CD's that are floating around. It should be very cool. Our friend Mike, who owns the studio is going to make us sound great. (believe me that's pretty hard to do). Here is a link to his studio. Mars Multitrack Audio Recording Services. We also would like to thank the people who came out on the 19th of January to see us at Abilene. The snow sucked (Marty couldn't make it, he was snowbound) but we had a great time at the show. Craig asked he crowd " Whoever is having a good time, raise your hand" and then proceeded to buy them drinks. He had a nice bill. At the end of the night the bartender said, "I think you boy's drank more than you got paid" but it was fun. Craig also headed off to New Orleans two days after the Abilene show for the "Super Bowl". He produces NFL Films live internet show for the Super Bowl. He will be there for three weeks (as long as he passes all the security clearances with the FBI !? ). Check out his show. It airs each day at 4 pm. Here is the link - Super Bowl Dates coming up are: February 15th at Abilene and February 23 at The Elbow Room (Bus Trip to New York). Check the gigs page for all the details. See you soon...
12/01
Hope everyone had a good holiday. We all did. We played some shows and had a great time. Abilene is becoming like a second home for us. We love playing there and I think they actually like us. Thanks to Al Geary, Matt, the sound man Dave and the entire staff. They do a great job.
In other news we do have three songs being reviewed for the TV show "Roswell". With a little luck maybe our stuff will wind up on the show. Also, we have a NY show lined up. We will be playing The Elbow Room Saturday February 23. This means BUS TRIP. We will follow up with details. See you soon, Gregg
11/01
Well, the video is done and if you are here I'm sure you were there. ( If not video) Please post you thoughts in the guest book or just e-mail us with your private thoughts. We would love feedback on our cinematic adventure.
Now I know that we neither confirm nor deny but we have gotten word from our management company that we will be showcasing for Atlantic Records in the near future. Pretty cool. Now we can stop telling all those outrageous lies about ourselves. (We really didn't win the Oscar for best horticulture documentary although Juan is good with flowery things). We just added a few shows and we are working on a few NY shows. If anyone can help us out with that it would be great. You know, a cousin that works at the Garden and can get us to open for Radiohead. OK, that's it for now. Look for our December posting around the middle of the month.
10/01
Sorry about the Rusty Nail show for everyone who was there. Juan was sick and had no voice. You just can't do a show when the singer can't sing. Our next show is at Abilene on November 10th. Also, we have new t-shirts. Click here to get one. We also have some shots of Craig and Marty. Scary isn't it? Talk to you soon.
We have signed our contract with the RDM Company. As soon as we get the video done Roger will start shopping it for us. Also, we had a very good show at Abilene on the 5th. We were the first band but we still closed the place. I'm sure you know how that goes. Thanks to Brian Bricklin for helping us out with Abilene. We will have new t-shirts for the Grape Street Pub show on the 18th so be ready to pick one up if you make it out to the show. That is all for now. Talk to you soon.
9/01
We've just completed shooting a video for the song "Lie to Me". Thanks to Craig for his direction and experience with lighting and cameras. We couldn't have done it without him. Thanks also to Jeff and Sheri for their camera work. Editing will start in the next couple of weeks and as soon as we can we will post it on the site. This video is also being used by Roger of the RDM Company for shopping purposes. We'll keep our fingers crossed. We just got a few more dates so check the gigs page for the info. See you at the shows.
Well, we all know how this month has gone. Our hearts go out to everyone involved in the tragedy in NY, PA and Washington. On a happier note, thanks to everyone who came to see us at Abilene. It was a last minute gig but we had some fun. The club was great and we got to check out Silvertide. They are very cool band and they put on a great show. ALSO, we are ready to sign a management deal with The RDM Company. We were scheduled to sign the contract with our attorney in New York on the Friday after the Terrorist attack but for the obvious reasons that was put off for a bit. We are still picking up steam with a few more shows in October. Hope to see you there.
8/01
Just added another show at the Rusty Nail on Saturday August 11th. We will be playing with The Phoenix Trap. We will go on at 11 pm. See you there.
7/01
Just added a show at the Rusty Nail. It's a pretty cool college bar. We will be there on Aug. 29th. Check the gigs page for info. We will have more dates shortly. We will be playing Bar A in Belmar very soon. There is nothing like playing at the beach. Also a Rex's show is in the works. We will be in full swing by September with lots of new stuff to try out on you guys. The added keyboards are working out great with Marty and Craig has been working that bass. Hope to see you at the Nail.
5 & 6/01
We will be out once again. June 16th 10:30 pm at the Hard Rock Cafe. Check out the gigs page for details. It has been a while but the Philadelphia Music Conference is something not to be missed. With conference director Brian Bricklin at the helm it is sure to be quite an extravaganza. Our regular drummer can't make it but we will have our old friend Waz filling in for the show. Got a few new songs and faces with the addition of Marty on keys and Craig on bass. Sorry about the lack of news but we've just been working on new stuff. Just taking our time... Hope to see you at the show.
1 & 2/01
Nothing ever goes as quickly as you want it to. We really want this one to be special so we are going to take our time. We will be back in the city playing in the spring of 2001. See you soon.
12/00
Just a little time off for the holidays and then back to work. Pre-production will begin in January for new songs and new sounds. We will keep you posted with our progress.
11/00

Well, first we were playing
Brownies, then we weren't playing Brownies and now once again we are playing

been kind enough to get us some spins on Y100. We will get spins on Thursday

this exposure. We also have CD's at some local colleges such as Villanova, St.

We will be playing the Halloween show at the Pontiac in Philadelphia on the 29th of October. We go on about 10:00 pm. Put on that mask if you like and we will see you there. We also will be playing Y100's Tuesday Night Music Club at Brownies 23 East on November 21st. More news to follow.
9/00
Right now we are shopping our newest work titled Chelsea in Orbit. Produced by Brian and Scott Bricklin these six songs are helping to close the gap between our musical vision and the reality of recording. Recorded in Studio 4, The Meat Locker and Indre Studios these songs are currently being reviewed by American Recordings.
Our last show was interesting. We did an in store at Mars Music in Cherry Hill, NJ. What a change. We're used to dark, smoky clubs not well lit stages but we had a go at it and felt it went nicely. Next update in October. Next show October 29th at the Pontiac.
